Hartlepool BC goes live with Latima from Treasurynet

Treasurynet, the specialist supplier of ASP delivered treasury management systems, is pleased to announce that Hartlepool Borough Council is now live with Latima, the treasury management system for local authorities.

Chris Little, Assistant Chief Financial Officer for Hartlepool BC said, ‘the implementation of Latima has been achieved within the expected timescale and through using Internet delivery, without disrupting our daily operations. We have found the system easy to learn and use; requiring just 1 day of formal training. Following this, with the support of the Treasurynet team, we achieved live running in line with our expected deadlines. The introduction of Latima has enabled us to replace the spreadsheets we used to support our treasury operations (and those of Cleveland Fire Authority) delivering operational efficiencies and reducing our business and operational risk. We are now reviewing the Latima Prudential Code Module and expect to be using this in our management process shortly. Overall, we are extremely satisfied with our decision to implement Latima.’

Geoffrey Corston, Managing Director, Treasurynet said, ‘this project is a typical example of how the Latima system implementation process can be completed with minimal disruption and impact on the user’s day-to-day business process. As a specialist system for local authorities, Latima provides an intuitive, secure and ordered business process. Using Latima and the new Prudential Code Module, enables local authority treasury officers to focus on the qualitative aspects of managing their operations. ’

Being designed and built to be fully scaleable across a number of technical environments, the Treasurynet product suite is easily distinguished from some of its legacy 'stand-alone' or 'LAN-based' competitors.

The systems can operate successfully and securely on a standalone computer, a departmental workgroup or company LAN, a multinational WAN/intranet or the web. Importantly the system will maintain optimum performance regardless of its operating environment.

In addition, the modern systems design architecture expands the choices available to clients when considering the most cost effective and efficient implementation environment to meet their needs.

The user base includes both types of installations with Internet delivery being the option of choice for a number of UK Local Authorities and Housing Groups with Intranet the preferred option of larger multi-national corporate clients.
