Industry Veteran Establishes Law Practice for Financial Technology Industry

June 20, 2005, PHILADELPHIA, PA – Guagliardo Law, P.C., a business and intellectual property firm, announced today that it has established a law practice to focus primarily on servicing the financial technology industry. The practice is designed to service financial technology companies as well as financial institutions in connection with financial technology development, outsourcing and other international transactional matters.

"We see a need for attorneys who know the financial technology industry, not just in terms of the traditional business transactions common in the industry, but also in terms of the cross-border intellectual property matters and banking regulations impacting this global industry", said Joe Guagliardo, founder and managing attorney at the firm. "This industry combines two of the fasting growing and ever-changing industries – finance and technology. The legal matters concerning intellectual property, compliance, limitation of liability and others continue to grow in complexity, especially in light of the global proliferation of development and operations outsourcing in the banking industry. Our clients find comfort in knowing they are represented by attorneys who know the industry and handle international financial technology-related transactions on a daily basis."

Joe is a thirteen-year veteran of the financial technology industry having held executive level and legal counsel positions at a capital markets software company prior to establishing the firm. He has extensive international experience and has represented companies in a wide range of financial technology related transactions, including software licensing, custom development, operations outsourcing, partnerships and joint ventures and intellectual property.
