A leading regulated provider of electricity in the Midwest, this integrated utility serves approximately 490,000 customers in 24 counties of western Missouri and eastern Kansas. An experienced management team has developed a firm with strong cash flow, competitive retail electricity rates and a highly reliable delivery system. Great Plains Energy selected integra-T.com to assist in the reorganization of the treasury operation and to help improve efficiency and workflow. They also wanted to move to a centralized processing structure and increase security and controls. "We have found that the system has greatly reduced our reliance on spreadsheets and afforded our employees more time to focus on corporate goals," according to Jim Gilligan, Manager, Treasury Management. They utilize a front end web interface to perform remote cash management functions, "which is a necessity for the size of our treasury operation."
Integrity Director Les Halpin said that the successful implementation was due to "a very professional effort from the combined team and demonstrated the ability to achieve high returns from the very fast implementation of a world leading treasury system."
