NEW YORK, April 26, 2004 â Standard & Poorâs, the leading provider of independent research, ratings and indices, today announced it would act as a preferred data provider for Global Investment Systemsâ MFACT® product, a fund accounting and administration system.
According to the agreement, Standard & Poorâs will provide securities pricing, descriptions, and evaluations information through Global Investment Systemsâ (GIS) MFACT product. GISâ MFACT customers will receive data daily on securities such as global equities, municipal bonds, corporate bonds, government bonds, and derivative bonds.
"This expanded relationship with GIS demonstrates Standard & Poorâs continued commitment to mutual fund processing. In addition to municipal pricing, GIS and Standard & Poorâs now offer taxable corporate bond pricing for all asset types including mortgage backed securities, CMOâs, and asset backed securities. We are also expanding the service to include international bond evaluations and global equities," says Frank Ciccotto, Senior Vice President, Standard & Poorâs Securities Evaluations.
As Standard & Poorâs continues to expand its pricing and data offerings, GIS has demonstrated their desire to make this information available to their clients. "We are happy the relationship between GIS and Standard & Poorâs continues to grow," said Jim Berkowits, Client Relationship Manager for GIS. "It is through relationships with quality organizations, such as Standard & Poorâs, that help us provide our clients with additional value added services.
