SMARTSTREAM TECHNOLOGIES TAKES CONTROL AT SIBOS 2004

London, August 18th 2004. SmartStream Technologies is urging financial institutions attending Sibos, Atlanta, October 11-15, to "Take Control" of those areas of their middle and back office operations where risk, cost and fractured process still exist.

Steve Moss, Business Development Director, SmartStream Technologies, explains, "In response to this year's Sibos theme "Time for Growth", we have launched our campaign of "Take Control" which builds on SWIFT's message. To capitalise profitably on growth opportunities, whilst complying with increased legislative and regulatory pressures, it's essential to "Take Control" of your entire transaction lifecycles. Too many institutions have areas of risk and cost that leave them exposed as transactions cut across the silos in their operations."

Throughout the week, SmartStream will be explaining how Transaction Lifecycle Management (TLM®) enables financial institutions to create an STP Control Architecture to eliminate fragmented processes and disparate systems and realise end to end real-time control of risk and operations.

Sibos delegates will be able to see demonstrations of the latest TLM® applications from Account Opening through trade process management to enterprise exception management and corporate actions processing. Specifically, SmartStream will be unveiling new solutions for cash management, investment management solutions for the middle office and latest releases of the market leading reconciliations & investigations solutions.

In addition to the company's traditionally eye catching exhibition stand, Martin Brown, CEO, SmartStream Technologies will be speaking on the opening day of the conference in the session: SWIFTNet - The Value Beyond the Migration (2.00pm Monday, 11th October). Brown will be highlighting the company's recent successes in implementing elements of the STP Control Architecture for leading global financial institutions.
