Goldberg brings 20 years experience in software development, most recently at SimCorp where he held the position of Development Director for the IT/2 Corporate Treasury Management system.
In November 2002, Arcontech recruited Joe Cassidy, a Perot Systems and UBS Warburg veteran, to strengthen its project management and client support functions. The appointment of Goldberg will allow Cassidy to concentrate on support issues, while adding to the companyâs project management experience.
"Weâre delighted to have Tim on board," says Miller. "We expect his experience and skills will bring real benefits to our clients as well as strengthening our internal processes and infrastructure as we gear up for further growth."
After graduating in Physics from Cambridge University Goldberg joined Swallow Business Systems, a start up software company where he managed software development and support activity on an increasingly large scale and gained an excellent understanding of development processes and process change. He managed the team to design and develop IT/2 and delivered it to market in 1990; it remains a market leader to this day.
In 1993 he moved to Bank of America becoming a Vice President and was responsible for quality assurance and support for cash management and treasury products. He later rejoined Swallow Business Systems and was appointed Managing Director of the company in 1997. He steered the company through the sale of the business to SimCorp in 1999 and maintained the focus on delivering high quality systems throughout the transition.
Goldberg says, "Arcontech has an excellent reputation and is staffed by extremely experienced and able people. I am very excited to be part of this growing organisation and expect to make a substantial contribution to the development capacity and effectiveness."
