C&W RTN is an information service that consolidates Nostro transactions and balance details, across multiple accounts, currencies, time-zones and systems, to provide a single, up-to-the-second view of a users Nostro positions.
intelliMATCH EP, SunGards real-time reconciliation and exception management solution, will take XML-formatted data from C&W RTN to reconcile an institutions transactions and statements with their own books and records. intelliMATCH EP will then identify exceptions and automatically take steps to resolve the issue.
C&W RTN provides member institutions with a consolidated view of the transactions moving across the accounts they hold with service providers who are also members of the service. The benefit is real-time reconciliation and transaction lifecycle management for institutions as the intra-day transaction data, such as confirmations, advices, payment instructions, and balance information, is streamed into intelliMATCH EP from C&W RTN.
The support of solution providers such as SunGard, is critical if the banking community is to derive maximum value from the information made available by Cable & Wireless Real Time Nostro, said Alister Hoad, programme director for Cable & Wireless. It is through solutions like SunGards that banks can automate their processes and extract real intelligence from their data.
