Stanlib Goes Live with HiPerformance and HiReporting

London – DST International (DSTi) - the leader in business solutions for the investment management industry - announced today that Stanlib – one of South Africa’s largest asset managers - has gone live with HiPerformance, DSTi’s performance measurement and attribution system, and HiReporting, DSTi’s sophisticated reporting system. Earlier this year, Stanlib signed a major agreement that allowed them to amalgamate the back and front office systems across the institution. Stanlib is the merged entity stemming from SCMB Asset Management, Liberty Asset Management, Standard Bank Unit Trusts and Liberty Unit Trusts.

Marisa Bellini, general manager, DSTi South Africa, said, "We are pleased that our relationship with Stanlib continues to grow. The group is committed to excellence and in providing the best service they can offer to their clients. We are now looking forward to the full implementation of HiCompliance later this month."

André du Plessis, Stanlib’s chief information officer said, "Rather than going with several solutions, we have decided to go with a fully integrated solution. We wanted to ensure that by merging the systems of both groups, we would maintain all existing capabilities and gain a better, more cohesive system. We are pleased with DSTi’s team of professionals and the functionality we are now
experiencing with our systems."

Both SCMB and Liberty’s asset management divisions used HiPortfolio, DSTi’s back-office solution for about 10 years. SCMB’s asset management division used HiInvest DSTi’s front office solution for two years. [Stanlib, jointly owned by Standard Bank and Liberty, runs two wholly owned subsidiaries: Stanlib Asset Management - focused on managing institutional portfolios, and Stanlib
Wealth Management - focused on retail distribution of product, product development, and client administration and service]. Stanlib’s funds under management exceed R135 billion.

Today the combined solutions, HiInvest at the front-end and HiPortfolio at the back-end, ensure that all instruments in the client portfolios are handled by the system in a uniform process.
