BEDFORD, MA â November 3, 2003 â SunGard Securities Processing, an operating group of SunGard (NYSE:SDS), announced today that it will host an Operations Symposium entitled "Central Interface Management in the Real-Time, Fixed Income Worldâ from 8:30 to 11:15 a.m. on Tuesday, November 18, 2003 at Sun Microsystemsâ offices in mid-town New York. Designed for sell-side brokers, dealers and banks of all sizes active in fixed income trading, the symposium will introduce the concept and advantages of centrally managing real-time, interactive messaging between the Fixed Income Clearing Corporationâs (FICC) Real-Time Trade Matching (RTTM) services and firmsâ back office processing systems.
The event will feature the following speakers:
Tom Quaranta, managing director of member services at the FICC, will provide an update on RTTM for Treasuries, and discuss the conversion of NSCCâs FITS comparison system for Corporates, Municipals and UITs. He will also give an update on the latest GSCC initiatives.
Dennis Paganucci, managing director, product management at the FICC, will give an overview of the RTTM activation of Mortgage-Backed Securities and the advantages of moving to RTTM. He will also give an update on the latest MBSCC initiatives.
Doug MacFadden, senior vice president of strategic development at SunGard Securities Processing, will describe and demonstrate the advantages of central interface management technology.
Ari Shamash, professional services practice manager at Sun Microsystems, will explain Sunâs message connectivity solutions.
