5 June 2003 â New York - Cicada, a leading provider of data quality management solutions and real-time market data management technology, has been recognized as âHighly Commendedâ in the reference data category of The Banker Technology Awards 2003. Cicada received its award at a ceremony held this week in London.
The Banker, a Financial Times Business publication, conducted the awards program to recognize achievement, success and innovation in technical applications and services for investment, wholesale and retail banking. There were several hundred entries for forty-one categories, including eleven for the reference data solutions category. Judging was conducted by a panel of leading authorities in financial technology, including global bank IT executives, consultants, research analysts, and financial technology and capital markets editors.
Awards officials stated that in evaluating the entries for the reference data solutions category, âCicada also stood out, and was highly commended by the judges, because of its uniqueness of approach in the area of reference data. Recognizing that software or ASP on its own cannot address all business needs, Cicada combines IT with direct intervention by data analysts, achieving a harmonious blend of technology and people. Cicada provides advanced technology for automated data validation across asset classes.â
Hubert Holmes, Cicadaâs Executive Vice President, said: âCicada is very happy to be recognized by this highly-regarded publication and panel for our proven technology, innovation and comprehensive approach for improving and maintaining reference data quality.
