Galliers joins Cognotec to drive AutoDeal+ sales activity

London, 13th January 2003; Cognotec, the world’s leading provider of automated trading technology and connectivity solutions, is pleased to announce the appointment of Kevin Galliers as Vice President of Sales. Galliers will oversee all Cognotec global sales activity including existing accounts and new clients. His particular focus is the promotion of Cognotec’s new, technically advanced, component based, foreign exchange trading platform Cognotec AutoDeal+.

Galliers has joined Cognotec from Iris Financial Engineering & Systems Inc where he was Vice President of Sales, responsible for worldwide sales, marketing and distribution of Iris Financial's software solutions. Prior to this, he was a regional managing director for SunGard Trading and Risk Systems.

"I am thrilled to be joining Cognotec at such an exciting time in the development of trading technology platforms. Banks are increasingly competing on the basis of automated technologies and value-added services. The new Cognotec AutoDeal+ technology builds on Cognotec’s unrivalled experience as a managed-service provider and delivers the most advanced technology platform available for the growing demand from larger firms for in-house deployment," said Galliers about his new role.

"Kevin’s experience in technology sales is second to none. Not only has he the expertise to oversee the continuing growth of AutoDeal+, on which we now have three banks live, but his experience of implementing large-scale projects in leading banks will help cement Cognotec’s reputation as the solutions provider of choice for the world’s most sophisticated trading institutions," said Brian Maccaba, Cognotec CEO and founder.
