Asset Control International and FT Interactive Data today announced that FT Interactive Dataâs global pricing, reference and corporate action data feeds have been mapped to the Asset Control data integration platform. Customers of Asset Control and its outsourced service, ACDEX, will now have one point of access to any or all FT Interactive Data feeds. In addition, the mapping and loading of the data feeds represents a significant advance in the modeling of data for global corporate actions processing.
The announcement is being made at the SIA Technology Management Conference. Data management experts will be available to discuss the benefits of this development at the booths of Asset Control (# 2405) and FT Interactive Data (# 1618-1619).
"Mapping securities data to internal applications can be a time-consuming and expensive process for financial institutions. In particular, the relating of corporate actions data with pricing and reference data, so that activities and updates are executed in a timely fashion, can pose daunting complexities," notes Ger Rosenkamp, CEO of Asset Control.
"Asset Controlâs "golden copy" approach to centralized data management, in combination with the global scope of FT Interactive Data, offered an opportunity to create a broad and extensible data structure that will speed our customersâ automation of corporate actions processing. It will also enable our customers to gain quicker usability of all types of vendor data," added Rosenkamp.
The next segment of this project, scheduled for third quarter availability, will provide off-the-shelf availability of fully aggregated and cleansed "golden copy" data from multiple data feeds.
"The mapping of our full range of data to the Asset Control integration platform offers a new option for both their customers and those of FT Interactive Data in processing the mounting volume and complexity of corporate actions and other securities data," said John Peck, FT Interactive Dataâs European sales & marketing director. "FT Interactive Data is committed to building relationships with software houses in order to provide added value to our customers."
