PMG Boosts Sales team with Two New Appointments

Leeds, England – 18 June 2002 - The Program Management Group (PMG -the UK leader in the emerging programme management software market, has boosted its sales team with two new appointments. Sandy Howe and Martin Kirkby have joined the company as PMG gears up for another year of high growth, having increased sales by over 60 per cent in 2001.

The company is aiming to win more business as organisations abandon traditional project management software in favour of the latest programme management techniques to improve management and efficiency.

Sandy Howe joins PMG from Niku to handle finance and retail customers, both in the UK and Internationally. Sandy has 15 years experience selling software and business solutions into major corporate clients across many industries.

"Having worked with vendors of similar products I have been very impressed with PMG's Hydra," said Sandy. "The company has taken a unique approach to programme management, leaving vendors of traditional project management systems way behind. In particular, the manner in which PMG handles multiple projects within programmes and the unique emphasis on resource rather than task scheduling makes a nonsense of other methodologies."

Martin Kirkby brings eight years IT sales experience to PMG, previously working with ERP developer, Optichrome. Martin's focus at PMG will be the government, defence and aerospace industries.

"PMG is a fast growing company with an enthusiastic team and a huge opportunity in today's market," said Martin. "Even the customers are very excited about the proposition, with a very short return on investment (ROI) making sales decisions easier. PMG's moment has come and I am pleased to be part of the team that will continue the growth of programme management in the UK."

The Program Management Group (PMG), based in Yorkshire's "Silicon Dale" designs, develops and markets programme management software and services.
Founded as Hydra Development Corporation in 1996, the fast-growing company spent over four years developing and refining its revolutionary programme management product, and has in less than 3 years established an international customer base of 32 global organisations, with over 5,000 users.

PMG's latest Hydra3 product, introduced in October 2001, is a complete programme management suite, offering resource-centric, multi-project, multi- ite planning capabilities. Its patent, intelligent, pre-emptive resource scheduling allows organisations to successfully plan and implement multiple simultaneous projects without the limitations of discrete task-centric project management tools.
