Paris -- Reuters (LSE: RTR.L), the global information, news and technology group, and TIBCO Software Inc. (Nasdaq: TIBX) have signed a strategic agreement with BNP Paribas Securities Services (BP2S), the leading pan-European provider of securities services. Under the terms of the agreement, BP2S will deploy TIBCO ActiveEnterprise* to assist the bank achieve Straight Through Processing (STP).

BP2S chose TIBCO ActiveEnterprise as the architecture to integrate its
applications and business processes after an extensive technology review of
Enterprise Application Integration (EAI) platforms. TIBCO ActiveEnterprise
is a comprehensive line of EAI products that automate business processes and
lower total cost of ownership by creating an integrated network of
applications, databases and information. Combined with the power of TIBCO's
technology, Reuters strong expertise and presence within the French market
were key factors in BP2S's decision. Reuters will work with the bank to
implement the architecture.

Jean-Paul Mergeai, Reuters Markets Director Benelux, France and Iberia said:
"Achieving Straight Through Processing is crucial to the fortunes of the financial services industry over the next few years. By streamlining and
integrating business processes, Reuters and TIBCO Software can help
institutions realize this goal. We are delighted to have signed this
agreement with BNP Paribas Securities Services and look forward to working
with them to extend their leading European product offering."

"We are pleased to be partnering with Reuters again to offer a joint solution for our mutual customers," said Rene White, chief marketing officer for TIBCO Software. "TIBCO is committed to expanding our EAI and B2B solutions in the international arena - and we are proud to be working side-by-side with such a respected partner."
