David Culbertson, an experienced leader in the financial information and wireless technology/security industries, most recently served as VP Operations and Professional Services for Diversinet Corp., provider of wireless security software. While there, he drove the development and launch of First Call In Touch, the first wireless distribution of commingled investment research. Before Diversinet, David held senior executive roles at Thomson Financial, most recently as VP Content and Network Services. He had also served as VP and General Manager of the company's Fixed Income Division (First Call BondCall), where he founded and managed BondCall. During David's extensive career, he has held senior executive sales and marketing positions in the financial information business and founded a consulting firm specializing in product marketing for the financial services industry.
Bruce Schachne, who also comes to Cicada with deep financial information industry experience, held an extensive career with Reuters America and Bridge/Dow Jones Telerate. Most recently he was VP Solution Sales at Reuters, responsible for sales of a number of products and services, including Enterprise Application Integration products, Tibco middleware and messaging products, Data Management services, and Risk Management systems. Prior, Bruce had served as SVP for B2B E-Commerce and Securities Administration (EJV) at Bridge/Dow Jones Telerate. Before that role, he was Director of European Marketing and Content in London, responsible for content development, segment marketing, and marketing communications. In the previous position, as VP of Strategic Marketing, Bruce managed content contract negotiations, product development and product marketing, and database and web development.
