provide WestLB Panmure, the leading supplier of European equity and investment banking products, with the foundation for its eBusiness architecture.
WestLB Panmure will be implementing Sybase's Enterprise Portal to build a strategic global e-Business solution across the company. The Enterprise Portal will provide WestLB Panmure with a powerful tool to supply its employees, corporate and investor clients with a single point of access to a portfolio of information and services through multiple channels.
This will enable WestLB Panmure to offer an array of e-Products that complement and support their business strategy, using the content management, personalisation and workflow capabilities of the Enterprise Portal.
Patrick Fürer, Chief Operating Officer of WestLB Panmure said: "We are committed to connecting European growth businesses with a global investor base through providing our clients with the very best consultancy and research possible. By adopting the Sybase Enterprise Portal as our e-Business platform, we can enhance our offering with greater access to information throughout the enterprise, for both our employees and our customers."
Chris Howgego, eBusiness Director (EMEA) at Sybase commented: "We are delighted to be working with WestLB Panmure and helping them to become a fully integrated e-Business. Given the flexibility and scalability of the Sybase Enterprise Portal, WestLB Panmure can easily build upon their global offering, to give clients the best service anytime, anywhere."
Sybase consultants have already been working with WestLB Panmure to begin developing the first portal product for their corporate clients. This has included developing a fully functioning prototype, integrating third party data such as real-time news and price feeds, integrating existing applications and content contribution and management. Other e-Products designed for clients will follow, and will pave the way for integrating other channels such as wireless enterprise services.
The Sybase Enterprise Portal enables companies to create a unified portal infrastructure for moving existing business processes cost-effectively to the Web, and to deliver strategic e-Business initiatives quickly. This includes powerful capabilities for delivering personalised, secure access to a range of applications and information sources, as well as extending the enterprise to trading partners and expanding its reach to mobile workers.
