GFT, the global provider of advisory, business consulting, IT and software services to the investment banking community, congratulates the selected FinTech50 2016 that were announced at the Money20/20 Europe event in Copenhagen.

The launch was run by FinTechCity, the leading hub for FinTech innovation, of which GFT is a key strategic partner.

The prestigious FinTech50 ceremony lists the top 50 European FinTech companies that are transforming the financial services industry.

Albert Franquesa, Principal Innovation Consultant at GFT comments: “The Fintech50 showcases the brightest and most innovative companies that are set to transform the financial services industry and we congratulate all those who have been recognised.”

GFT is a major supporter of FinTech and is patron of this year’s Applied FinTech cluster at the established annual CODE_n start-up contest, which champions the cause of innovation – in 2015 over 400 start-ups from 40 countries applied, with 50 finalists presenting their business model, and an ultimate winner receiving the €30,000 prize.

This year’s CODE_n final takes place at the Centre for Art and Media in Karlsruhe, Germany, from 20-22 September.

Franquesa adds: “This is an exciting time for FinTech and we look forward to seeing the very best of UK FinTechs entering the competition, and hopefully attending the CODE_n finals.”
