As May draws to a close, and a prolonged slump continues to plague tech stocks, it would appear that hiring in the sector is slowing down too. Fewer senior technologists are opting to trade in the security of a long-held seat for the adventure of a new role. Nevertheless, this week saw several major hires in financial technology.

We have the rundown on the most interesting fintech moves of the week below.

Wells Fargo

Citi’s global head of network design and build, Brandon Bravo, has left for a technology director role at Wells Fargo, according to his LinkedIn profile. The exact details of Bravo’s new post are unknown.

In his previous role, Bravo managed the global team, responsible for ensuring that Citi’s network is properly built and functioning. The team’s responsibilities included core services such as application hosting load balancing and enterprise DNS services, mobile/BYOD WI-FI; low latency e-trading Networks; secured 3rd party/partner connectivity; employee remote access; high speed remote office; branch and ATM and private/hybrid cloud scale networking services.

A Citi veteran, Bravo leaves after 20 years with the global financial firm, having started as a branch analyst and gradually moving on to infrastructure technology management.
