Barclays has appointed Brenton Booth as Head of Product Management, Trade & Working Capital.
Brenton will be responsible for driving the development of Barclays’ integrated Trade & Working Capital offering globally. Based in London, he will report to Dan Roberts, Head of Trade & Working Capital.
Brenton was most recently Head of Receivables Finance for Barclays Africa Group, based in Johannesburg. He has held a number of senior roles at Barclays Africa and Absa, including Head of Marketing and Sales, and Managing Director for Absa Debtor Finance.
Commenting on his appointment, Brenton said: “This is a great opportunity to work with colleagues across Barclays’ global network to continue to deliver best-in-class, relevant, and technology-focused products that meet the needs of our clients in both the short and long term. Another key focus is to develop more efficient ways to help clients use a range of different products to deliver more complete solutions to their trade and working capital challenges.”
Dan Roberts added: “Brenton brings a breadth of knowledge and expertise to the team. His deep understanding of our Africa business and of the market broadly will be a real asset as we continue to grow our global trade and working capital offering and help our clients achieve their trade objectives around the world.”
