Bottomline Technologies (NASDAQ: EPAY) today announced the company will be hosting a “Race for a Cause” at the company’s corporate headquarters in Portsmouth, NH on September 20th. The fundraising community event includes a 5K run/walk, a children’s 100 yard dash and a food drive. All proceeds from this year’s event will benefit End 68 Hours of Hunger. In addition to Bottomline, event sponsors include PC Connection, Office Depot, Coca Cola, Sitepen, Global Technical Talent, Linoma Software, Baker Newman Noyes, Supreme Pizza & Seafood, Runner’s Alley, Native Maine Produce, PromoCentric, The Works, Exeter Events & Tents, The Green Bean, Grill 28 and Santini Family Chiropractic.
“We’re delighted to be hosting the Race for a Cause” said Rob Eberle, Bottomline’s CEO. “We appreciate the fabulous support we’ve received from our sponsors and the community for the race. We look forward to a great day and are honored to be supporting End 68 Hours of Hunger.”
Bottomline has demonstrated a long-standing commitment to the communities where the company’s employees live and work. Earlier this year, Bottomline received the Granite State Award from the University of New Hampshire in recognition of an outstanding record in community support. The company has also been named to Business NH Magazine’s “Best Companies to Work For” hall of fame.
End 68 Hours of Hunger is an organization committed to ending childhood hunger one school at a time. The organization began by feeding 19 local children in 2011, and now feeds almost 1,000 children in towns across New Hampshire. Bottomline Technologies became End 68 Hours of Hunger’s first charter sponsor with a $68,000 donation from its executives and employees earlier this year.
“We cannot express our appreciation enough for the leadership role Bottomline has taken in helping us tackle the critical issue of childhood hunger” said Claire Bloom, founder and program director. “Because of Bottomline’s active participation and the involvement of their employees, the End 68 Hours of Hunger program has been able to grow and feed the many children who need our help.”
