Gartner Recognizes TCS as a Leader for Finance & Accounting (F&A) BPO

Tata Consultancy Services (TCS), (BSE: 532540, NSE: TCS) a leading IT services, consulting and business solutions organization, today announced that it has once again been designated as a Leader in Gartner’s Magic Quadrant report on Finance & Accounting (F&A) BPO by the prominent global market intelligence firm.[Gartner, Magic Quadrant for Finance and Accounting BPO, Analyst Cathy Tornbohm, published 28 May 2014]

Gartner identifies providers in the 'Leaders' quadrant as those with a clear vision of market direction and actively building high performance competencies to sustain their leading position in the market. The comprehensive F&A BPO players in the 'Leaders' quadrant generally share superior market understanding, have a global client base, an extensive network of well-distributed and highly populated global delivery centers catering for multiple languages, a good balance of transactional and high-end F&A delivery, and innovative and effectively marketed sales offerings.

“We believe being named a ‘Leader’ reflects TCS’ differentiated strategy, execution focus and extensive global investments,”said Abid Ali Neemuchwala, Global Head, Business Process Services at TCS. “Customers across Industries have experienced substantial improvement in business efficiency and effectiveness, as they leverage TCS’ domain expertise, transformation expertise and best in class technology platforms.”

The rapidly changing and unpredictable world has significantly increased the complexity of doing businesses for enterrpises globally. CEOs are increasingly expecting their CFOs to help them simplify and reimagine their business processes, leveraging what at TCS we call the ‘Digital Five Forces’ (mobility and pervasive computing, cloud, big data, artificial intelligence and robotics and Social Media) to improve governance and compliance. In addition, controllers are increasingly responsible for forecasting, planning and variance analysis above and beyond their transactional management roles. CFOs and controllers globally depend on TCS to help them meet business goals, with TCS’ transformation methodology FORE™, industry domain expertise, risk management and compliance services  and  platforms are helping them get there.
