Big Data Partnership licensed to deliver Intel’s Hadoop offerings in Europe

The Big Data Partnership, a reseller, training and consultancy vendor based in the UK, has been approved to implement the Intel Distribution agreement for Apache Hadoop for European enterprise customers.

The aim of the implementation approval agreement is to bring better analytics and ‘big data’ integration to end user clients in financial services and other industries via the Hadoop open source platform.

Big Data Partnership will use its knowledge to support the rollout of the Intel Distribution in next-generation analytics solutions across Intel Xeon processors in order to try to better support customer’s big data deployments.

“We are thrilled to be Intel’s integration partner for its Hadoop distribution across EMEA,” said Mike Merritt-Holmes, chief executive officer (CEO) and co-founder of the vendor neutral Big Data Partnership. “Intel Distribution is one of the leading analytics solutions on the market and we look forward to working with Intel to meet industry’s growing big data needs.”

The Partnership offers scalable solutions to capture, store and analyse big data to solve problems, identify new revenue streams and develop customised solutions that meet specific customer requirements. “As we expand the adoption of the Intel Distribution into new global markets, partnerships with knowledgeable and experienced companies [such as the Partnership] will be strategic to our growth,” said Jobi George, director of big data software product and channels for Intel’s Datacenter Software Division. “Companies such as Big Data Partnership are well equipped to deploy the Intel Distribution in Europe and add a new layer of support for Apache software integration.”
