Orange Business Services - Trading Solutions celebrates global deployment of 1500 Open Trade positions

Carl Kliem signs as one of the latest customers to deploy Open Trade

Orange Business Services - Trading Solutions, the leader in voice and electronic trading infrastructure and services for the trading communities, today celebrates the deployment of 1500 Open Trade positions across APAC, the US and Europe.

Since its launch in April 2010, Open Trade has seen significant interest from the market. It has been well received by financial services institutions using the platform, which integrates voice, video, email, instant messaging and web-based applications.

Carl Kliem who specialise in money market, interest rate derivatives and FX swaps rates has chosen Open Trade for its trade floor. The deployment of Open Trade meets the firm’s demand for a next generation voice trading solution and enables Carl Kliem to trade with a wider reach worldwide.

Open Trade’s native internet protocol (IP) and session initiation protocol (SIP) standard interfaces ensure flexibility so that the platform can adapt to any organisational configurations and align with customers’ IT architecture. With Open Trade’s centralised administration tool, it’s easier and cost-effective to manage distant sites and smart turrets. In addition, Open Trade can be directly integrated with customer Business Continuity Plans (BCP) to meet regulatory requirements. The Open Trade architecture enables a space saving of 80% in the technical room and a 50% reduction in desk real estate thanks to its ergonomic, compact design.

The launch of Open Trade Store, an application portal model for the Open Trade smart turret, is the next step forward in the evolution of Open Trade. The application store enables users to access business and lifestyle applications on their turret, increasing user productivity and enhancing trading activity.
