Charles River Investment Management System to Deliver Integrated Derivatives Data from Markit

Charles River Development (Charles River), an award-winning provider of financial software and services to the global investment management community, and Markit Group Limited (Markit), the leading provider of independent data, portfolio valuations and OTC derivatives trade processing to the global financial markets, today announced the full integration of Markit RED (Reference Entity Database) and CDS (credit default swap) pricing services into the upcoming Charles River Investment Management System (Charles River IMS) Version 8.2. Charles River is a Certified Alliance Partner under Markit’s certification program.

“We are very pleased to partner with the industry’s leading provider of credit derivatives-focused data,” said Tom Driscoll, Vice President, Sales and Marketing, Charles River Development. “Charles River has long supported derivatives trading, which has now gone mainstream. Charles River IMS V8.2 will deliver the next level of enhanced trading functionality and integrated data that is critical for successfully trading these complex instruments.”

“Markit’s partnership with Charles River brings together the industry standard for credit derivatives data and the leading investment management system,” said Nicola von Schroeter, Managing Director and Head of Markit’s Alliance Program. “Global investment managers will benefit from the combination of benchmark pricing and trading functionality to support their growing focus on CDS trading.”
