Dexia BIL selects Sterci for its future proof financial messaging infrastructure

Sterci, the leading international software provider of STP solutions, today announced that Dexia Banque Internationale à Luxembourg has selected its Stelink financial messaging platform to meet with new business requirements and XML standards.

Dexia BIL has always been a forerunner in terms of SWIFT activity. Currently more than 20 institutions, including RBC Dexia Investor Services, are hosted on its SWIFT infrastructure using a wide range of SWIFTNet services (SWIFTNet Funds, SWIFTNet Funds, etc…).

With its Dexia Member Concentrator service, Dexia BIL is also offering an efficient way to connect to SWIFTNet for any SWIFT users (Corporate, Financial Institutions, etc…).

After a selection process, Dexia BIL has chosen Stelink high performance financial messaging in order to comply with new standard in the context of SEPA and Target 2. Stelink is providing system flexibility that will enhance the ability to meet with new requirements of business lines.

Michel Harlange, head of Dexia BIL’s SWIFT Competence Center, said: “By the end of 2006, we decided to renew our legacy messaging infrastructure. The main driver was not only to comply with SEPA requirements but more to build a future proof messaging application able to easily roll-out new SWIFT solutions. We selected STERCI because they were already involved in a number of pilot projects including SEPA, E&I, Funds.”

Simon Kalfon, Chief Executive Officer of Sterci, said: “Stelink perfectly fits with Dexia BIL requirements providing the high level of flexibility, performance, and functionality to very demanding business lines. Our solution is based on XML standard in a service oriented architecture, this facilitates the roll-out of new business solutions. After Dexia in Zurich, and in Brussels, Luxembourg will be the third site in the Dexia group to use Stelink technology.”
