Centerprise Names Takis Sironis to Management Team as Head of European Operations

Former AMS CTO Brings 20 Years' European Banking Experience to ERP II Software Firm.

New York, NY, October 15, 2002 – Centerprise Services, Inc. today announced the appointment of Takis Sironis as head of its European operations.

Centerprise, which has developed CenterSphere, the first enterprise management system for the financial services industry, initially focusing on the wholesale capital markets, what the Gartner Group refers to as an ERP II solution, is an IBM (NYSE: IBM) Business Partner.

Based in London, Mr. Sironis' will be responsible for expanding Centerprise's presence in Europe. "This is a remarkably strong group of incredibly talented technologists and capital markets professionals, impressive for a young organization," said Sironis. "They are in a proof-of-concept with one of the five largest banks in the world and are approaching POCs with others in the US and Europe. They recently released a corporate governance solution currently being jointly marketed with IBM in the UK and they are one of IBM's recommended operational risk solutions. Clearly, this is an excellent time to be connected to Centerprise."

Mr. Sironis has extensive experience as a senior technologist and banking and capital markets business executive with over 20 years' experience in financial services, specifically risk management in Europe.

He joins Centerprise from American Management Systems, AMS (Nasdaq: AMSY). For six years he served as CTO and chief architect for their global financial services practice, defining and implementing the firm's strategy for the delivery of architectures and systems for front and middle office operations at top tier banking institutions in Europe. Prior to AMS, he spent five years at SHL Systemhouse as a senior technical architect, joining SHL from SO Systems, an IT consultancy, where he worked as a principal consultant from 1987 to 1991. From 1982 through 1986, he was a research engineer at the University of Sussex in Great Britain.

"He adds a depth of knowledge in risk management at a time when Basel II is having a major impact on credit and operational risk, and he has a considerable background in delivering portfolio management, enterprise-wide workflow and data integration solutions."

Mr. Sironis will report directly to Mr. Tuffli and work closely with Jonathan Pruett, global head of sales and marketing, who is based in New York. "Takis brings a significant number of personal contacts in the European banking sector, culled from his experience in delivering high profile projects to some of the largest European banks," said Pruett. "He has an excellent IT reputation and proven rapport with tier one bank executives in Europe."

Mr. Sironis holds a Bachelor of Science degree with Honors in electronics and physics from the University of London and a Ph.D. in computer science from the University of Sussex.
