FAME to Host “Alliances and Innovations in Data Management” Industry Conference on April 16 in NY

New York, NY, April 15, 2002 – FAME, a leader in delivering enterprise solutions for the management and analysis of historical and reference data, will bring together eight leading application and interface developers serving the financial services industry and host a strategic partner conference titled, "Alliances and Innovations in Data Management. The conference will be held Tuesday, April 16 at the W Hotel at 201 Park Avenue South in New York City from 1pm to 5pm.

According to Neil Edelstein, senior vice president of sales and marketing at FAME, and moderator for the event’s eight panel discussions, "FAME is bringing together what we believe are some of the industry’s finest application and interface developers to create powerful new solutions for delivering FAME unique data intelligence."

The firms participating are Curious Networks; Centerprise Services, Inc.; Agentware; Visualize; Insightful; Brainpower, Metametrix and xAware.

Following lunch at 1pm and brief welcoming remarks from Dale Richards, FAME’s newly promoted CEO and president, eight presentations in two streams, "Enterprise Solutions" and "Analytical Front Ends," will be given from 2pm to 4pm, followed by a cocktail reception at 5pm.

The eight presentations include:

-"Data visualization within financial services, Gary Manton, senior vice president, sales and marketing, Visualize

-"Comparisons and contrasts of FactSet’s closed architecture to FAME’s open architecture," Ken Rossiter, CEO, Agentware

-"Java connectivity between S-Plus and FAME," Michael Palmieri, financial solutions services manager.

"Attendance registration has been stronger than our original projections," said Edelstein. "As of Friday, April 13th, we received over 65 confirmed registrations."
