CALABASAS, CA, November 19, 2001 – SunGard Trading Systems, an operating group of SunGard (NYSE:SDS), today announced that Jim Davis has joined as president of the Global Markets business unit.
Mr. Davis joins from Hewlett Packard and brings extensive experience from a range of technology companies and markets. During his tenure at Hewlett Packard, he headed the global software engineering systems division, ran partner programs with Intel and was director of business development, acquisitions and divestitures. Prior to that, he held executive, sales and technology management roles at Apple, Sun Microsystems, Digital Equipment Corporation and a series of other software and technology companies.
Mr. Davis’ mandate will be to oversee all of Global Markets’ international operations while focusing on customer service and a well-defined product direction. Leveraging the company’s strong international presence, comprising SunGard Trading Systems Global Markets’ regional headquarters in London (Europe) and Singapore (Asia), Mr. Davis plans to maintain SunGard’s client-focused approach.
