CALABASAS, CA, November 12, 2001 - SunGard Treasury Systems, an operating group of SunGard (NSYE:SDS), today announced that Ken Dummitt has been promoted to president from his former position as senior vice president and general manager of the Americas.
"For the past three years, Ken has been an integral part of SunGard Treasury Systems. With support, client services and product development under his direction, the levels of customer service and satisfaction have risen to record highs," said Greg Pond, group chief executive officer, SunGard Treasury Systems.
Mr. Dummit has served with SunGard’s management team for more than eleven years. He spent eight years with SunGard’s Business Continuity and Internet Services group and joined SunGard Treasury Systems when it was formed in 1998. Prior to SunGard, Mr. Dummitt served in senior financial and general management capacities for globally positioned corporations. Mr. Dummit holds an undergraduate degree from Harvard and an MBA from the Richard Ivey School of Business in Canada.
Michael Poisson, vice president of sales, eastern region, will assume the position of senior vice president and managing director of the Americas, which includes the United States, Canada, South America, Central America and Mexico. Mr. Poisson has been actively involved in sales, consulting and production support of treasury and risk management systems at corporate treasuries in North America and Europe since 1986.
"In addition to record sales in Michael’s region, his focus on customer care and retention after the sale have won him a strong treasury industry following from coast to coast," commented Mr. Dummitt.
Prior to SunGard, Mr. Poisson worked for Multinational Computer Models and The MCM/First Boston Consultancy, Inc. Michael holds a BS in Management from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute.
