Cognotec appoints Stephen Moon to senior position

London, 3rd July 2001; Cognotec, the world’s leading supplier of e-commerce enablement solutions to the financial industry, is pleased to announce the appointment of Stephen Moon to a senior position within the company. Moon is Director of Product Management and oversees the Cognotec flagship product AutoDeal LITE, an Internet-based foreign exchange and money market dealing solution, as well as additional responsibilities for technical development.

He was previously with UK company PackagingCell Ltd, where he developed the company’s online packaging marketplace. Prior to this, Moon worked for Edgetek Machine Corporation in the US. He has a first class degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Bradford and in 1992 was awarded a Whitworth scholarship.

‘I am joining Cognotec at an exciting time in the company’s development. With the real picture emerging from the fog of the dot-com hype, Cognotec is poised for dramatic growth and market penetration with a whole series of value added products for corporate users, branches, bank deal rooms and new emerging portals. I am happy to have joined a talented team at the forefront of technical development,’ said Moon.

‘Stephen brings a wealth of technical expertise and strategic experience which will be of great benefit to Cognotec’s plans to expand its range of services,’ said Albert Maasland Global Head of Marketing for Cognotec.
