Zscaler Continues Record Growth in Q1 FY2015

Cloud Security Company’s Growth Across All Channels Fuels Impressive First Quarter Results 

Zscaler, the Internet security company, today announced another strong performance for its first fiscal quarter of 2015. Total revenue, channel revenue and customer retention all rose to all-time highs.

Zscaler delivered strong results across all sales channels, with channel sales showing particularly impressive growth of 56 percent over the same period in FY2014. Global service providers such as BT, Verizon and AT&T are teaming with Zscaler to offer security services as a value-added offering for their customers. Zscaler’s value-added reseller partners are also gaining traction, offering an integrated, cloud-based security platform as a differentiated solution for their customers looking at add extra layers of security and to protect mobile users and remote branch offices.

Zscaler continues to add new clients at a rapid pace. More than 5,100 global enterprises, governments and military organisations now rely on Zscaler’s Internet security platform. Zscaler’s new guest Wifi security platform keeps several million more people safe from cyber threats. Renewals, cross selling and up-selling with existing clients also remained strong, with Zscaler customers adding new users and modules in record numbers again this quarter.

Zscaler Q1 FY2015 Highlights

  • Zscaler Fall 2014 – In October, Zscaler introduced the Fall 2014 release of its Internet security and compliance platform. Zscaler Fall 2014 includes breakthrough new capabilities for Advanced Persistent Threat (APT) protection, guest Wifi security, global administration, policy management and reporting and instant assessment of security risks.
  • Zscaler Expands Partner Ecosystem – Zscaler expanded its Technology Partner Program with the addition of more than 20 new partners that offer enterprises, governments and military organizations best in class solutions that are pre-integrated with the Zscaler Internet security platform.

Advanced Persistent Threat Protection Momentum

Zscaler’s new Advanced Persistent Threat Protection platform is commanding particularly strong demand in the marketplace. More than 5,100 companies around the world have already deployed Zscaler’s sandboxing and behavioral analysis technologies to protect against the most advanced zero-day threats and cyber attacks.

In November, Miercom, a leading security testing organization, released reports detailing the results of head to head testing of the leading Advanced Threat Protection solutions on the market today – pitting Zscaler, FireEye, Palo Alto Networks, Checkpoint, Fortinet and Cisco against each other in a battle to see which products most effectively and efficiently identify and block cyber-threats. Zscaler performed admirably, detecting up to 64 percent more zero-day threats and 40 percent more malicious documents than competing solutions. Showcasing the speed advantage of cloud computing, Zscaler completed Miercom’s tests, including processing nearly 800 pieces of advanced malware, up to 50 times faster than on-premise hardware appliances.  Complete test results are available online.
