Birmingham-based specialist energy software developer Contigo has secured the sale of its flagship enTrader product to Ovo Energy, one of the UK’s fastest growing domestic energy suppliers.

Designed from the ground up to provide a competitive edge in today’s complex energy markets, enTrader is an energy trading package that provides market-leading capabilities in retail energy portfolio management.

With an emphasis on ease of use, ease of implementation and cost effectiveness, enTrader allows customers to accurately measure and track how much energy they need to buy and trade against the level that its customers are using.

Jon Yeomans, Director, Contigo, said: “As Ovo Energy has continued to grow, its management team knew that it needed an even more secure, reliable and flexible solution which it could use as a central point for energy market information to help inform the business.

“As with all of our products, enTrader offers an outstanding level of flexibility and customisation enabling us to tailor it perfectly to our customers’ needs and I am delighted to have secured this sale to Ovo.”

Award-winning Ovo Energy has consistently made headlines for challenging the status quo by offering a fresh perspective in a competitive market. With a mission to simplify the energy market by providing just two easy-to-understand tariffs, transparent pricing and helpful customer service, Ovo now has 90,000 customers.

Tom Griffin, Trading Manager, Ovo Energy, said: “Our first priority is our customers and by working with Contigo and using its enTrader product, we can ensure that we can continue to focus on what’s right for Ovo’s 90,000 customers by being as quick-footed as possible in managing our energy needs.”
