CEO Brendan P. Farrell Jr. Continues to be an Influential Member of the Financial Community

XSP, the global leader in automated end-to-end Corporate Actions solutions, today announced that it is the winner of two FTF (Financial Technologies Forum, LLC) News Technology Innovation Awards for 2012. Chief Executive Officer Brendan P. Farrell Jr., was recognized as Person of the Year for his outstanding contributions to the industry over the past year. In addition, XSP has pioneered efforts to maximize the benefits of social media, winning the FTF award for Most Effective Use of Social Media.

The FTF News Technology Innovation Awards recognizes organizations and individuals that embrace the rapid changes of technology to achieve business excellence. Awards were presented in 15 categories. The FTF News editorial panelists upon nomination submission by industry professionals determined category finalists. Voting was open to registered subscribers of FTF News with restrictions where individuals could not vote for their own company.

“Receiving these awards is an honor for XSP,” stated Farrell. I am grateful to have a team by my side that continues to exceed my expectations every day while demonstrating the highest level of dedication to our clients and to the XSP vision. I believe that being a leader is not only about professional accomplishments but also about pursuing what is dear to your heart. Community involvement is an immense part of who I am and giving back to the community keeps me engaged and passionate about life.”

Maureen Lowe, President and Founder of FTF, said, “It is my pleasure to congratulate Mr. Farrell on winning the 2012 FTF Technology Innovation Award for Person of the Year. Mr. Farrell is a terrific example of a well-rounded leader, demonstrated through his proven ability to lead a successful global company and contribute significantly to the community. We also congratulate XSP on winning the award for Most Effective Use of Social Media. It’s not simply just about having the most followers or ‘likes.’ This award measures the ability to engage with your audience, which XSP has accomplished. ”

Farrell added, “We are thrilled to be recognized as a social media leader by FTF. The way people communicate has evolved alongside the rapid changes in technology. Embracing social media for XSP was a non-negotiable; businesses today cannot afford to ignore social media. XSP uses Yammer as our private enterprise social network and we see tremendous opportunities in extending our network to clients. As a result, we have established our own external network called ‘XSPression,’ leveraging the Yammer platform. We are connecting our global clients in a secure and private forum with other Corporate Actions practitioners dealing with the same challenges they deal with every day around the world. XSPression is not only a tool for our customers to communicate with each other but a facilitator for us to provide our clients with the help they need to tackle difficult issues, complex events and gain an understanding of how to better use the application.”

FTF will honor the winners at a ceremony and feature the recipient of the Person of the Year award on the cover of the June 2012 print issue being distributed at the SIFMA Leaders Expo and sent to registered FTF News subscribers.
