The Solution is integrated with the online desktop application and has lower bandwidth requirements, helping make downloading and displaying market data content faster and more cost-effective. By transmitting less data, MarketMap Mobile helps reduce roaming and data downloading and usage costs. The new update timer option helps users further limit data costs by allowing them to choose how often they want to receive price changes and news.
The new version of SunGard’s MarketMap Mobile application helps address challenges - including cost, security concerns, and platform choice – that were cited by financial services firms in a recent SunGard survey as barriers to adopting mobile market data solutions. ,. The survey on mobile market data solutions found that 61% of polled financial services firms, including trading and asset management firms, believe the adoption of mobile market data technology would help create business advantages, particularly in improved customer service.
