ISI Emerging Markets to Acquire BPR BENCHMARK in Colombia

Bogota - 29 May 2008

Internet Securities Inc (“ISI”), trading as ISI Emerging Markets, a subsidiary of Euromoney Institutional Investor PLC (“Euromoney”), announced today that it will acquire BPR BENCHMARK headquartered in Bogota, Colombia. BPR is one of the leading providers of company financial data, analysis and Business Credit Ratings for Colombian companies.

The acquisition opens ISI’s international customer network to BPR BENCHMARK, presenting new markets around the world for BPR’s products. It accelerates ISI’s growth in Colombia by enabling ISI to introduce its global emerging market services to BPR’s Colombian customer base, and by expanding ISI’s physical presence in the country. It also continues ISI’s strategy of building its regional and global emerging markets information services through the acquisition of local online information providers.

BPR was founded in 1995 by principals Enrique Brando and Guillermo Rico. Both will remain with BPR and manage the business post the transaction, and will lead the expansion program of BPR BENCHMARK products overseas.

“We are delighted to acquire BPR BENCHMARK and retain the support and services of both Enrique Brando and Guillermo Rico,” said ISI Emerging Markets CEO Brian de Lacy. “BPR has, in a relatively short time, become a leading player in the Colombian electronic information market. There is significant synergy between ISI and BPR that we will leverage to the benefit of both companies. Added Gabriela Ruggeri, ISI’s Regional Director for Latin America, “We look forward to contributing to the acceleration of BPR’s growth both in Colombia and overseas. The acquisition reflects our belief in the strong economic prospects for Colombia, and solidifies our commitment to the market.”

Commenting on the acquisition, ISI’s Executive Vice President for Marketing and Product Development James Hammond said: “Operationally, BPR BENCHMARK extends our Latin American footprint into Colombia. BPR will represent, sell and support our products in Colombia, which they are excited to introduce to their local customer base, and ISI will help BPR find new customers through our international network. We will also extend the BPR Credit Risk and Marketing products to other countries in Latin America and eventually to other emerging markets around the world.”
Terms of the transaction were not disclosed.
