Daiwa Securities SMBC Europe Limited has signed an agreement with ORIMOS to use its SONARIS/Bonds system for a minimum of a further four years. The system had originally been introduced to Daiwa's fixed-income desks in 2003.

Andrew Asbury, Managing Director of Daiwa's Fixed Income Division, comments: 'SONARIS/Bonds has proven very valuable to grow our bond business. ORIMOS have demonstrated over the past four years that they understand our business, deliver what they promise and support us whenever required.'

Graeme Muirhead, Daiwa's Managing Director Technology Division, adds: 'SONARIS/Bonds has proven to be the extremely reliable pricing engine we had expected, capable of handling our steadily increasing volumes. The product's flexibility to integrate with our internal systems and a future-proof architecture to cover additional instruments and markets have convinced us to further invest in our partnership with ORIMOS.'
