Company Experiences Triple-Digit Growth and Adds Management Expertise to Meet Growing Demand for its Scalable Clustered NAS Storage Solutions
ONStor, the leading provider of scalable clustered NAS storage solutions for the enterprise, today announced second quarter 2007 triple-digit growth of 354% in worldwide sales compared to the second quarter of 2006. Combined sales in North America, the United Kingdom, continental Europe and Japan soared, beating sales of the first half of 2006 by 377%. To meet the fast-growing demand for its products, the company also expanded its management team by creating two new positions.
Through a strong channel focus, ONStor also expanded its global portfolio of customers by adding 60 new companies this half including Gaggle.net, Teletech, NetConnect, Inc., Sovereign Bank, Consortium Health, ZDF and University of Liverpool. ONStor now boasts more than 300 enterprise customers worldwide that have deployed its award winning Pantera Clustered NAS Systems and Bobcat NAS Gateways. The company has met success by targeting customers in Web 2.0, financial services and healthcare markets. Channel sales in the United States made up 70% of total sales with the remainder fulfilled directly. New resellers added to the business included Hammer PLC, SGI Japan, VeriStor Systems, Inc. and Zycko.
“We’re at an exciting time in our business, and robust sales are always an important indicator,” said Bob Miller, CEO of ONStor. “ONStor’s product lines are mature and our enterprise customers are embracing the stability and scalability of our storage solutions. We continue to improve on our technology leadership, strong customer base and management team to enable us to capitalise on the business opportunity for ONStor products. “
To complement its management team, ONStor has created a new position and hired Mark Ellinger as Vice President of Eastern Region Sales. Ellinger has more than 27 years experience in leading IT sales, most recently with Rackable Systems, Inc. and Sun Microsystems. In addition, Joe Vittorino, one of the original founders of the company, will shift his focus solely to addressing the needs of ONStor customers and will take on the new position of Vice President of Corporate Quality.
“ONStor’s rapidly expanding client base and repeat customers are a testament to the fact that the company’s highly scalable, low-power-consuming NAS solutions have found a sweet spot in the market,” said Steve Norall, Senior Analyst, Taneja Group. “In addition to constant product innovation, ONStor consistently delivers a superior level of service to its customers. As a result, ONStor customers are fiercely loyal and committed to the product and company.”
