Former-media magnate Leo Kirch and his wife Ruth have filed a complaint against Deutsche Bank in a German court calling for decisions made at the bank's 2006 annual general meeting to be annulled, it has been reported.

The pair are also seeking for the firm's most recent annual report to be declared void, according to a report in German weekly magazine Manager Magazin.

The article, which is due to be published on Friday, claims that Mr Kirch alleges that both the report and the meeting cannot be deemed to be valid since the bank had not stockpiled reserves for his damages claim.

Reports of the lawsuit follow the higher district court in Frankfurt yesterday rejecting a previous complaint filed by Mr Kirch which sought the annulment of decisions made at the bank's 2003 annual general meeting.

Mr Kirch had been contesting the notarisation of the meeting on the grounds that the memorandum had been amended at a later date.

However, the court found that the meeting's notarisation was in order, meaning that the decisions taken at the meeting were valid.
