THE ROYAL BANK OF SCOTLAND STRENGTHENS RATES TEAM

The Royal Bank of Scotland (RBS) Financial Markets has appointed Franck Viort to a new position in the Rates Frequent Borrower Group.

Franck will join the Frequent Borrower Group in Origination for Supras, Sovereigns and Agencies and will be responsible for strengthening and establishing client relationships in this area. Franck will report to Stefan Dreesbach, Head of Rates Frequent Borrower Group and will be based in London.

Franck joins from the Debt Capital Markets division of Merrill Lynch in London where he was responsible for Supras, Sovereign and Agency Origination in France and Benelux. He has an MBA from the University of Chicago, as well as a Masters in International and Development Economics from Université Paris-l Pantheon -Sorbonne and a Masters of Public Administration and Economic Policy from Institut d'études Politiques in Paris.

Franck will take up his new role once FSA registration has been completed.

Commenting on the appointment Stefan Dreesbach, RBS, said: "Franck’s experience and contacts in the Supras, Sovereigns and Agencies will be integral to the development of our business, representing a key part of the RBS Financial Markets fixed income platform."
