InvestEdge ASP – Performance Reporting
InvestEdge’s performance platform is a scalable, low-maintenance solution designed to address performance needs throughout the organization. Direct integration with multiple accounting and custody systems (books-of-record systems) allows InvestEdge’s performance system to ensure data consistency and accuracy across your organization. The state-of-the-art performance tools and diagnostics enable users to easily identify and resolve issues. Daily returns calculated at the asset level provide the in-depth detail to identify issues or concerns and give the organization the granularity to report directly on the products and services they are selling. The seamless integration with the InvestEdge Portfolio Management and Reporting system allows the organization to report and monitor performance with the same system that provides asset allocation, compliance, modeling/indexing, and optimization/trading.
The InvestEdge Performance System (IEPS) calculates daily time-weighted returns using a calculation method that complies with the Global Investment Performance Standards.
The system includes an administrative module for managing the calculation of performance. The module consists of diagnostic screens for managing data integrity and workflow tools to manage exception processing and research performance issues as they arise, allowing for more timely production of period end reporting.
The system calculates performance at the account asset level. Clients can customize how to roll up the basic returns into the categories (i.e. asset class, sub-class, sector, etc.) to best present accurate and relative data. This flexibility gives the organization the ability to report performance at the detailed and customized level specific to the company’s investment strategies.
The same performance data and methodology used to generate monthly or quarterly portfolio reports can be accessed by the investment manager through the portfolio management performance screens. Within the InvestEdge Portfolio Management system, accounts can be viewed individually or rolled up into a consolidated view. Performance returns are calculated on both types of accounts and can be compared to relative benchmarks. The consolidated accounts can be used to create investment officer and company level returns, or family performance/reporting groups.
