Peter joins Options as a Senior Business Engineer, where he will be responsible for innovations to drive new business growth and support the firm’s managed colocation services. Peter has worked in network technology for 26 years, concentrating specifically on high-quality technology for trading and financial services for the past 17 years. In that time, he has worked at several major service providers including Thomson Financial, Radianz, AlgoSpan and Pico before joining Options.
During his time at Pico, Peter migrated the AlgoSpan network into the embolic stages of Pico’s EMEA network, headed up the EMEA Implementation, Client Service Delivery and DC Operations teams before going on to manage Implementation engineering globally. His appointment comes as the latest in a series of senior hires across the U.S., Asia and European regions and follows recent news of Options’ managed colocation expansion across Asia, Australia and Canada. In January, Options also announced a significant investment from Boston-based Abry Partners.
Options’ Chief Executive Officer, Danny Moore, commented:
“Peter specialises in engineering businesses for success in what is a highly competitive sector. His vast experience in networks, network architecture for financial services and automation will be hugely impactful to the firm’s managed colocation offering. Needless to say, Peter will be a key asset in Options’ mission to provide the most streamlined and sophisticated services on the market, and we are delighted to have him on board.”
Speaking about his appointment, Peter added: “I have worked in networks technology for over 25 years and have great admiration for Options’ work in providing high-quality, low-latency solutions to their clients. I look forward to working alongside the team in their mission to transform global financial sector technology.”
