Saxo Payments Banking Circle, the ground-breaking financial utility, has once again been recognised for its high level of innovation on behalf of the financial services (FS) industry. Banking Circle Virtual IBAN has been shortlisted for two FSTech Awards: ‘Financial Sector Innovation of the Year’ and ‘Most Innovative Product of the Year’. This adds to the two nominations in the 2018 Card and Payments Awards.
Winners of the 18th FSTech Awards will be announced in March at a prestigious ceremony in London, recognising excellence and innovation in the field of IT within the UK and EMEA FS sector. The ‘Financial Sector Innovation of the Year’ award will go to a Financial Services organisation that has created an innovative new line of business, setting them apart from the competition, which is both profitable and sustainable. The ‘Most Innovative Product of the Year’ award will go to a company that has delivered innovation in the FS sector, responding to market pressures with originality and creativity.
Anders la Cour, co-founder and Chief Executive Officer of Saxo Payments Banking Circle commented: “Banking Circle Virtual IBAN is the first multi-currency Virtual IBAN to be offered to the payments industry by a non-bank. It delivers a unique solution for financial institutions, enabling them to add value to their customer proposition, giving them a competitive edge without requiring any significant investment in resources or systems.
“After a hugely successful 2017 in terms of growing the business and collecting award wins, we are delighted to have kicked off 2018 with not one but two award nominations. Banking Circle Virtual IBAN being shortlisted in such prestigious industry awards is testament to the hard work of the entire team involved with developing and launching this game-changing payments solution. It is a huge honour to be shortlisted alongside so many influential FS firms, and the nominations clearly demonstrate the market importance of the solution provided by Banking Circle Virtual IBAN.”
