First Recipient in the Category at Annual Leaders in Trading Awards
CloudMargin, the multi-award winning creator of the world’s first web-based collateral and margin management solution, announced today that The TRADE Magazine has just bestowed on the firm an Editor’s Choice Award, naming CloudMargin “FinTech Innovator of the Year” at its Leaders in Trading awards event in London last night.
This represents the first time The TRADE has recognised a firm for FinTech innovation and the second year the magazine’s editorial and research team has honoured a “series of performances in excellence” through Editor’s Choice awards as part of the broader Leaders in Trading awards. The TRADE delivers insight to trading professionals at the world’s largest asset managers and investment banks, with readership that includes buy-side dealers, high frequency traders, fund managers, sell-side brokers, FinTech innovators and regulators.
Jonathan Watkins, The Trade Group Editor, said: “The FinTech Innovation award was one of the most hard-fought this year given the technology developments taking place in the trading and execution industry. We decided that CloudMargin’s cloud-based collateral management solution, along with the progress they’ve made throughout the year, helped them stand out from the other nominees. Given the margin and collateral requirements which have come into force this year, CloudMargin’s innovative system has been a timely and warmly welcomed product for the industry.”
CloudMargin CEO Steve Husk said: “It is indeed a great honour to receive this prestigious Editor’s Choice award, based entirely on the editorial team’s judgment that we stood out as an innovator not only in the collateral management field but among FinTech providers generally. We’ve worked diligently to ensure that CloudMargin’s cloud-based workflow tool provides our community with turn-key access to best-of-breed partners and real-time data across the entire collateral management ecosystem for an affordable price. Never has this been more vital than in the past year, when variation and initial margin rules have begun taking effect globally.”
Last night’s award is the second award this month CloudMargin has earned for FinTech innovation.
