RE Advisers has positioned itself for future growth with the implementation of Charles River’s Software as a Service (SaaS)-based solution to manage its domestic equity and fixed income strategies. The Charles River Investment Management Solution (Charles River IMS) enables the Arlington, Virginia-based firm to replace disparate proprietary and third party tools by consolidating its portfolio management, trading and compliance activities on a single platform.
“Portfolio managers gain capabilities including additional data and analytics to support trading and portfolio construction decisions and we’re able to manage operations more efficiently, with lower risk and improved compliance monitoring,” said Stephen Kaszynski, Director, President and CEO of RE Advisers and Homestead Funds.
Charles River’s SaaS model includes the software capabilities, data, services and hosting infrastructure needed to support current and evolving business requirements. Charles River manages the system, performs all upgrades on a regular basis, and ensures data is properly fed to the system.
“In a SaaS deployment, firms like RE Advisers benefit from Charles River’s expertise in managing the system, including regular upgrades and ensuring timely, accurate data throughout the investment process,” said Tom Driscoll, Global Managing Director, Charles River. “This gives end users higher confidence in their decision making and trading processes. SaaS also provides the predictable cost and scalability needed to grow and better respond to changes in the market.”
