(NASDAQ: FISV), a leading global provider of financial services technology solutions, has been named a winner of the first-ever Technology Association of Georgia (TAG) Fintech ADVANCE Awards. The award recognizes the company’s ability to bring measurable results to the financial industry through innovative solutions. It is the most recent in an impressive array of accolades received by Fiserv clients and solutions during the last year.
Fiserv was recognized with a TAG Fintech ADVANCE Award for introducing Verifast™: Palm Authentication, which uses near-infrared light to capture and confirm a financial institution employee’s or customer’s identity via a unique palm vein pattern, making authentication faster, more convenient and more secure.
The TAG FinTech ADVANCE Awards honor established companies with a Georgia connection that are delivering measurable results within the financial industry through innovative solutions. Fiserv has had a significant presence in Georgia for more than two decades and is one of the largest technology employers in the state.

Verifast: Palm Authentication was also recognized with an IDC Financial Insights FinTech Rankings Real Results Award for its ability to speed authentication in the branch by 93 percent while pulling in near perfect satisfaction marks from users.
Fiserv showcased voice banking capabilities connecting the Amazon® Echo to digital banking and payment services to win “Best Use of Technology” in the PYMNTS.com 2016 Alexa Challenge. The Fiserv solution showed how Alexa can be used to advance money management and movement at the point of thought.
Fiserv was named a gold winner in two categories at the PYMNTS.com 2016 Innovation Awards — the Best Check Innovation category for Immediate FundsSM, which allows customers to get instant access to funds from checks presented to a teller or through mobile and ATM channels; and in the Best Debit Innovation category for CardValet®, a card management and fraud mitigation tool that lets cardholders control how, where and when their cards are used.
CardValet was additionally honored at the PayBefore Pay Awards, recognizing excellence in the global prepaid, mobile and emerging payments industry, CardFreeCashSM, a first-of-its-kind solution that offers secure, convenient and immediate access to cash without a physical card at ATMs, and uChoose Rewards®, a loyalty rewards program, was recognized as an outstanding rewards program.
Aite Group, an independent research and advisory firm focused on business, technology and regulatory issues and their impact on the financial services industry, recognized Fiserv with its Leader of the Pack Award. In the Impact Report, Leading U.S. Core Banking Vendors: Entering the Era of Plug-and-Play Banking, Fiserv was recognized for its overall experience in the core banking market as well as “Best Breadth of Product Portfolio” and “Alliance and Most Open Architecture,” citing DNA® from Fiserv for the latter.
