IHS Markit (Nasdaq: INFO), a world leader in critical information, analytics and solutions, have announced it has won two XCelent awards as part of analyst house Celent’s latest industry research into the Fundamental Review of the Trading Book (FRTB) standards. The awards recognize the technology leadership and customer momentum of IHS Markit for its dedicated FRTB Solution Suite.
”We’re delighted to receive this recognition from one of the leading financial technology research and advisory firms for our FRTB Solution Suite,” said Andrew Aziz, global head of Markit Analytics at IHS Markit. “We are seeing significant traction in the market, particularly for our cloud-based FRTB Modellability Service, which improves banks’ ability to demonstrate risk factor modellability and therefore better manage their capital requirements.”
Celent’s Advanced Technology award recognizes the strong track record of IHS Markit in staying at the cutting edge of solutions for FRTB through a cohesive architectural vision, comprehensive product roadmap and extensive pricing and market risk analytics capabilities. The Client Base award highlights the strong customer momentum at IHS Markit for FRTB and market risk to date.
The introduction of FRTB will require banks to overhaul their market risk infrastructure. IHS Markit provides a suite of solutions that enables banks to comply with the Basel market risk requirements by supplementing their existing infrastructure and processes. The solutions are designed to shorten FRTB implementation programs, reduce execution risk and cost and help firms manage the capital impact of the regulation.
