BPC Banking Technologies, a world leading provider of payment solutions, announces that the largest retail chain in New Zealand – Warehouse Group – chose SmartVista as a cornerstone for its financial services business. The initiative is called ‘Warehouse Money’ and offers the retailer’s consumers the chance to save 5% on purchases via a new Visa card or earn ‘purple dollars’ via the Purple card.
The new line of card products was initially launched country wide prior to the Christmas season and following this the company received an impressive flow of applications for new cards showing the high demand of such type of offering.
By taking full advantage of the comprehensive yet flexible use of SmartVista suite of solutions for card issuing, card management and customer billing, Warehouse has been in better shape to manage all future card products development. Having an In-house implementation greatly mitigated potential reliance on third-party providers in terms of total card management, this resulted in many substantial benefits such reduction in operational costs and delayed enhancements, meeting compliance issues and new product rollouts. This meant that Warehouse has that extra competitive edge in faster product development and roll-out to market capabilities.
In addition, BPC’s solution SmartLoyalty enabled different levels of rewards and redemption options, depending on cardholders purchasing patterns. Leaving Warehouse to set and calculate bonus points for each operation depending on the card type or store where the purchase was fulfilled. These options included instant use of accumulated points to support purchase of goods and services together with control over future tailoring for other business or consumer segments.
