Entries for the Fintech Innovation Awards 2016 are now open, and we’re looking for the best and brightest people and projects in the sector. Thinking of entering? Here are five tips from the organisers on how to impress our panel of expert judges.
1. Read the instructions and category descriptions carefully
Once you decide to enter the awards, ensure that you have selected the right category for your project or product. Make sure you read all guidelines carefully and follow the instructions. Correctly submitted entries are easier to judge— think of this as your chance to make a good first impression!
2. Start early
Entering the awards starts with online registration. Save time and register as early as possible. You may edit your entry in the online awards system, even after you’ve submitted it, until the entry deadline. By registering, you are not obliged to enter the awards. Register here.
3. Hit the deadline
Deadlines are there for a reason. The entry window is part of a long and complex process, so please respect them. Putting together a good entry takes effort, so make sure you give yourself enough time to think your application through. The deadline for the FinTech Innovation Awards entries is the 01 December 2015.
4. Follow entry criteria
Judges will be scoring each entry against the category’s unique criteria, so make sure that your submission touches on each point. Supporting your claims with numbers and statistics will make your entry stronger. Make sure you respect restrictions on word count and attachment sizes — the last thing you want is for your entry to be rejected! Register to read criteria and enter the awards.
5. Get noticed
Our judges will be reviewing many entries for each category. Make yours stands out by creating a clear, easy-to-read entry, supported by a great video or a couple of pages with graphs or images. Aim to really showcase your project or product in a digestible form.
