Startupbootcamp InsurTech, the leading accelerator focused on Insurance innovation, has today announced the 10 international startups selected to join the London program. The finalists, which include teams from across Europe, Africa and Asia-Pacific, have been chosen following a rigorous selection process by a panel of industry experts, including representatives from Startupbootcamp and its partners.

Having raised approximately 2 million dollars in investment between them, a few of these chosen startups are already generating revenue. They will join the ever-expanding list of successful startups that have been through the Startupbootcamp programs globally.

Details about each of the 10 selected teams can be found at the end of this press release.

The successful startups will benefit from extensive mentorship from 100+ entrepreneurs, investors and corporate partners, helping to guide each company through the ‘Shape’, ‘Build’ and ‘Sell’ stages of development. Masterclasses are offered on topics ranging from lean to legal, and focused partner days on media, investment and sales. The program commences in January, led by Startupbootcamp InsurTech London’s managing director Sabine VanderLinden.

As well as access to mentorship, each team will receive €15,000 and three months free office space at the Rainmaking Loft London, Startupbootcamp’s London home. Partnerships with Admiral, Allianz, ERGO / Munich Re, Innovation Group, Intesa SanPaolo, Lloyds Banking Group, Liverpool Victoria, MMI Holdings, MJ Hudson, PwC, Route66 Ventures, Tryg and UnipolSai will also provide the Startupbootcamp InsurTech finalists with access to pilot customers, industry data, APIs and capital.

After three months of acceleration, the 10 teams will be invited to present their companies to 500+ investors, mentors and partners during Demo Day. Following Demo Day, the teams will have access to:

  • Hands-on guidance from investors
  • Three months of fundraising support
  • Access to the Alumni Growth Program, a global network of 2,000+ mentors, 2,000+ investors, 125+ startups, and exposure to startup hubs in London, Singapore, New York and San Francisco.

Sabine VanderLinden, Managing Director at Startupbootcamp InsurTech commented: “The past five months have been extremely insightful for our team. After reviewing hundreds of applications from start-ups wanting to join the programme, we selected 18 impressive ventures from 8 countries to participate in our Selection Days.  We are delighted to welcome 10 superb and innovative businesses to our programme, starting in January 2016. Insurance topics covered include micro insurance, connected home, connected health, white labelling and pension robo-advisors. Some teams intend to better unleash the power of data and others want to deliver new approaches to improve the customer’s digital experience. We feel so privileged to becoming a clear contributing factor in the transformation and growth of these amazing businesses.”
