tolomy to offer highly secure, resilient SaaS environment for Delius2 case management solution
tolomy, the secure cloud provider, has entered into a partnership with Beaumont Colson the Developers of nDelius to host and resell their SaaS products and solutions. The agreement will see tolomy work with Beaumont Colson to bring its new offering, Delius2 and associated training applications, to market. Delius2 is a commercial off the shelf (COTS) case management system capable of supporting multiple access for the recording and processing of key information. Delius2 will be hosted on the tolomy security assured cloud platform and marketed as a software as a service (SaaS) solution for public and private sector organisations.
Beaumont Colson specialises in providing IT services and products to the public sector, such as the National Health Service and Ministry of Justice. The Delius case management system , originally developed for Manchester, London, West Midlands, Merseyside and West Mercia Probation Trusts, saw the subsequent commission of the National Delius (nDelius) solution which was rolled out across England and Wales in 2013. Delius2 encapsulates the functionality and dynamism of the nDelius case management system and makes it available for the very first time as an off-the-shelf solution.
Delius2 is a cost-sensitive solution so it was equally important to ensure hosting and maintenance costs were controlled without compromising the integrity of the system. Consequently, Beaumont Colson sought a partner able to both host and provide the highest levels of security assurance for Delius2. Beaumont Colson chose tolomy based upon its highly secure, accredited cloud platform team of CESG Listed Advisors and Security Solution Architects, and its collaborative SaaS model. Delius2 will benefit from Business Impact Level 1 and 2 protection, complex password reinforcement and two factor authentication, and integrated security operations services on the tolomy platform. tolomy’s SaaS service also integrates with secure, PSN and internet facing resource portals, futureproofing the Delius2 solution against any network changes that may be mandated by government.
“Providing Delius 2 and our suite of applications through tolomy's cloud hosting facility allows us to keep pace with NOMS and the public sectors strategic developments with their national systems without compromising user experience. We have a reputation for providing helpful and supportive IT and, together with tolomy, we now have the opportunity to build on the functionality within the national system and work flexibly to deliver significant enhancements. Delius 2 is our next generation, open source software that will provide the full complement of nDelius functionality and will ensure that emerging, MoJ data exchange requirements and information assurances are fully met.” Paul Ryder, Director, Beaumont Colson.
“Delius2 has its roots firmly planted in the public sector especially within Probation Services and is a built-for-purpose case management solution. But ensuring accessibility without sacrificing security was always going to require a very specialised cloud environment. Beaumont Colson recognised that tolomy was uniquely placed to offer these levels of assurance which is why we have entered into partnership with them. The new Community Rehabilitation Preferred Bidders may struggle with the implementation timescales and data challenges, but offering our clients and the wider industry this service will provide an alternative, robust and viable solution. The tolomy and Beaumont Colson collaboration will see the benefit from a SaaS solution boasting the very highest levels of security, proving that COTS doesn’t equate to a compromise,” said Louise T. Dunne, Managing Director, tolomy.
